Welcome to Beacon Middle School!
Beacon Middle School is located on Route 24 in Lewes, Delaware. To sum up the school in three words, Beacon “Learns, Grows, and Goes.” Each student has an opportunity to learn and grow every day. The school has a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and students while also maintaining a high standard and inclusivity for ALL students. After their time at Beacon, students are prepared socially and academically for life at high school. The students at Beacon are the best ambassadors for their school. Teachers and staff within the building enjoy working with the middle school students and helping them to succeed and accomplish their goals.

The goals of Beacon Middle School are:
- Strengthen communications and understanding between and among students, staff, parents, and community members.
- Support a middle school philosophy that fosters a schedule which includes professional and personal planning times. Improve students' self-discipline and work/study ethic.
- Provide a safe environment for students where they can grow physically, intellectually, and emotionally.
- Promote a healthy lifestyle and a positive self-image.
- Develop and implement a viable schoolwide curriculum for computer education
- Expand the authority of the school (principal, teachers, pupils) in setting their own educational patterns and modes of instruction that are based on best practices.
- Coordinate efforts between feeder school staffs and Beacon Middle School staff.
